Dr Gokulan Paven

Dr Paven is a gastroenterologist with a strong interest in inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, and medical education. He is a skilled, experienced endoscopist who performs gastroscopy and colonoscopy.

Dr Paven completed his medical degree at the University of New South Wales (Sydney), graduating with Honours in 2001 before undertaking postgraduate physician training in gastroenterology & hepatology at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. He obtained his specialist qualifications in 2008 and has served our local area as a consultant gastroenterologist since 2011.

Dr Paven has been the Director of Physician Training at both Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and St George Hospital and is a senior member of the National Examining Panel for the Royal Australasian College of College of Physicians. He is a Conjoint Senior Lecturer of Medicine for the University of New South Wales. He is a senior staff specialist at St George Hospital with admitting rights at both St George Public and Private Hospitals.
