Dr Durmush is a female gastroenterologist and hepatologist with a special interest in general gastroenterology, functional disorders, as well as gastroscopy and colonoscopy.
Dr Durmush graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2011 and subsequently completed physician and gastroenterology training at Prince of Wales Hospital as well as training in regional centres. She went on to complete a final year of gastroenterology training at St George Hospital as an endoscopy fellow. She currently performs endoscopy procedures at St George Private Hospital as well as holding admitting rights at Nepean Hospital and Blue Mountains Hospitals.
Dr Durmush is passionate about all areas of gastroenterology including colorectal cancer screening, irritable bowel syndrome, functional disorders, iron deficiency, reflux and fatty liver disease. She takes an individualised approach to each patient and wants to empower them to better understand and take ownership of their health. She is accredited in performing both diagnostic and therapeutic upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopies.
When not at work, Dr Durmush enjoys spending quality time with her children, as well as eating great food and exploring the outdoors.
